Your internship as a ‘Strategy Intern’

Altman Solon offers internships for students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. As an intern at Altman Solon, you will typically work on one or more projects. You will be integrated into a project team and supported by experienced consultants who will assist you throughout your time with us. Internships typically last two to six months and give you a comprehensive insight into the strategy consulting business.

Analyst:

As an analyst, you will be fully integrated into your project teams from day one. You will quickly take on independent tasks such as analyses, research and surveys, and assist in the creation of presentations to communicate your findings. You will be an active member of team meetings and involved in daily customer communication. You will also have a career advisor and coach at your side who will accompany your development throughout your career. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in internal initiatives and thus have a direct influence on the company.

Consultant:

As a consultant, you will play a leading role in the implementation of successful projects. You will be responsible for the project workstream, from complex business modelling to research requiring a high level of expertise.

You will communicate the most important findings of your work to the client team in presentations. In this way, you will become an important point of contact. You play a crucial role in the development of junior analysts and make a valuable contribution to the company outside of project work through training or other internal activities.

Consultant:

Are you looking for a new opportunity in exciting and complex sectors? At Altman Solon, we offer you the opportunity to grow. You will perform challenging strategic work that fully utilises your skills and allows you to learn in the fastest-growing industries in the world.

Senior Consultant:

As a Senior Consultant, you are responsible for the entire workflow of your project. On larger projects, you will lead up to three analysts and consultants, identify your clients‘ key questions, formulate hypotheses, structure complex analyses and draw the necessary conclusions. You will be in regular contact with the client team and play an important role in presentations and other interactions. You will also have the opportunity to take on leadership and mentoring roles within the firm.

Manager:

As a manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end success of an entire project team. You lead analysts, consultants and senior consultants from hypothesis generation through analysis to presentations. You will independently draw conclusions from your team’s work and create storylines and presentations to communicate these to your clients. You will manage client relationships independently with the support of the relevant director. You will have a strong leadership position within the company, which includes mentoring junior staff and participating in company management.

Selection process

If we like your application, we will invite you to a preliminary interview. This will give us an initial impression of each other.

The application process at Altman Solon includes an HR interview and several rounds of case interviews to assess your problem-solving and communication skills and your cultural fit with the company.

Decision

Shortly after your selection process, an interviewer will give you feedback on your interviews and inform you of our decision. If you apply for a direct entry position, you will have a final interview with one of our managers after successfully completing the interviews. You will discuss your start at Altman Solon in more detail with him.
