Biography and expertise

Frank Welge is a partner at TARGUS and a proven expert in purchasing, supply chain management and holistic cost reduction and profit improvement in industrial manufacturing. He has more than 25 years of consulting experience in various industries, including the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, the electrical and electronics industry as well as the aerospace and defense industry.

Before joining TARGUS, Frank Welge worked for eight years at Management Engineers (now Strategy&) in Düsseldorf. He then spent eleven years as a partner and managing director at INVERTO (A BCG Company) in Cologne and Munich, where he was responsible for supply chain management and the Munich and Shanghai offices.

Previously, as Chief Procurement Officer, he was in charge of purchasing and materials management at an international manufacturer of interface technology. He began his professional career as an operations officer in the German Air Force.

Frank Welge studied business administration with a focus on European corporate management in Paderborn and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
