Ein Hidden Champion – Was ist das?

Ein Hidden Champion muss sich mit McKinsey, BCG und Bain messen (den „MBB“). Um die Auszeichnung zu erhalten, müssen drei Bedingungen erfüllt sein:

1. BEDINGUNG

Less well known than MBB

Im Topmanagement deutscher Unternehmen mit einem Jahresumsatz von über 1 Mrd. Euro darf der ungestützte Bekanntheitsgrad eines Hidden Champions höchstens 15% betragen.

2. BEDINGUNG

Active in the same market as MBB

The proportion of a Hidden Champion’s clients who also work with one of the MBBs – McKinsey, or Bain – must be at least 50 percent in the sample analyzed.

3. BEDINGUNG

Serious alternative to MBB

A Hidden Champion must be rated better by its clients in at least one area of expertise than all three MBBs – McKinsey, BCG and Bain.
