Silpa first became aware of Batten & Company while looking for an internship during her Master's degree. Although the timing didn't work out at the time, as the summer intake was already full, her interest in Batten & Company remained. When applying for a permanent position, the company was therefore right at the top of her list.
The application process quickly confirmed that Batten & Company not only offers the desired interface between brand strategy, marketing and consulting, but also a familiar environment in which international projects for major clients are managed. Today, Silpa is part of the team as a consultant in the Munich office.

Variety: impressions from all over the world
It was clear to me early on that I wanted to work in an environment where business, creativity and intercultural understanding come together. This interest deepened during my semester abroad in Seoul (South Korea), where I was able to deal intensively with issues of global marketing and strategic corporate management in an international environment.
I then expanded on this focus as part of my Masters in Management at the Nova School of Business and Economics.
I quickly realized that what fascinates me most about marketing is the human aspect, especially in internationally oriented brand strategies in which cultural differences are not only taken into account, but actively appreciated and integrated into brand development.
Starting your career: responsibility right from the start
Before joining Batten & Company, my professional experience was in the area of conflict between classic management consulting and marketing.
In the nevertheless very exciting consulting projects, I often lacked the substantive focus on brand strategy issues. Although I was able to take on a variety of operational tasks in corporate structures, these were mostly geared towards the national or DACH level and offered only limited conceptual scope.
For this reason, it made sense for me to start my career in a consultancy that specializes in my desired focus. Batten & Company offered me the ideal combination of strategic thinking and brand-oriented action. Here I can combine my interest in project-based work that focuses on strategic relevance and brand management.
After a year as a consultant, I can now see that this expectation has been fulfilled. My first projects have given me exactly the international and strategic perspective that attracted me from the outset. They range from clients who wanted to develop a better understanding of their global brand presence, including workshops and presentations of results in Switzerland and London, to projects in which we were able to anchor newly created brands across national borders through targeted employer branding measures and internal activation.
Team spirit: Batten Spirit
What was and still is particularly important to me alongside the content of my work is the environment in which I work. After all, we spend a lot of our time in precisely this environment, ideally one that offers the right balance between young dynamism and experience and in which personal growth is encouraged as much as professional development.
What makes up the „Batten spirit“ for me is the trust in each individual and the personal responsibility that comes with it. At the same time, I appreciate the combination of a high level of professionalism and an open, relaxed working environment with a real team culture. Despite challenging projects, there is a family atmosphere in which people learn from each other, support each other and celebrate successes together. It is thanks to this atmosphere that I enjoy coming to the office and always look forward to new challenges.
