In a world characterised by geopolitical upheaval, technological disruption and economic uncertainty, there is a growing need for guidance and strategic foresight as a basis for entrepreneurial action.
As a leading consultancy for geopolitical strategy and risk management, Agora Strategy supports international companies, governments and organisations in understanding global developments, minimising risks and exploiting the resulting opportunities. With offices in Munich, Berlin, Brussels and Paris, and a network of over 350 experienced experts from the fields of diplomacy, business, the military and academia, we combine political analysis with strategic creativity.
As a consulting firm founded over 10 years ago with the aim of permanently anchoring geopolitical thinking in corporate decision-making, we are ahead of our time. Integrity, independence and holistic thinking have been a clear compass for our work in complex environments from the very beginning. Our consulting services cover the entire spectrum of the German and European economy: from securing global production architectures and transforming to resilient supply chains to managing specific crisis situations, we support our clients in overcoming the challenges of a new world.
There are various ways to join Agora Strategy, depending on where you are in your professional life. We continuously offer exciting career opportunities. Interested? Then take a look and see what suits you best.
Agora Strategy offers students a wide range of opportunities to get to know the company and how we work.
We offer internships lasting 3-6 months, which can be started at any time. We place particular emphasis on the opportunity to gain work experience as a working student. It is particularly important to us to retain working students in the company for the long term during their studies, thereby enabling them to start their careers directly after graduation.
Interns and working students are involved in the entire range of activities at Agora Strategy Group, including project and client work, events and marketing, and business development. We are looking for students studying business administration, economics, or political science.
Bachelor’s and, in particular, Master’s graduates have the opportunity to join the Agora Strategy team as entry-level analysts. During the first two years, we place particular emphasis on learning the skills and knowledge necessary for consulting work. At the same time, we offer a framework in which analysts can take on responsibility from the outset and help shape the development of the company.
In principle, the requirements for graduates are similar to those for interns and working students. We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset who are interested in geopolitical issues and ideally already have experience from internships in consulting firms, industry, or politics. A stay abroad is a prerequisite, as is a high level of English proficiency.
In principle, we also offer the opportunity to gain extensive professional experience during a gap year, either during your studies or between your bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The entry opportunities for MBA and PhD graduates do not differ significantly from those for master’s graduates or experienced hires.
A doctorate or MBA degree is taken into account when evaluating a candidate’s profile and is particularly relevant when determining the level at which the candidate will join Agora Strategy. In particular, MBA candidates who already have extensive professional experience will join at the level of a senior consultant or manager.
We are always delighted to receive applications from experienced candidates. We assess which level the applicant is best suited for based on the scope and relevance of their previous experience to our work. Our consulting team is structured so that there are four levels between the entry-level analyst and the management position of director or partner (consultant, senior consultant, manager, senior manager). Professional experience is decisive in determining classification and entry-level opportunities. For example, 3-5 years of professional experience is required to start as a senior consultant, and 5-10 years for manager or senior manager.
In addition to the possibility of joining our core team on a regular basis, experts in specific, relevant subject areas also have the opportunity to join our network of experts at any time. Due to our strongly network-based consulting approach, we are always looking for exciting personalities from politics, science, business, the military, and related fields, who are then deployed on a freelance basis for specific mandates and client projects, depending on their availability.
