In more than 30 years, CPC has carried out over 2,500 projects. Interns have always been an important part of our daily business. Many of today’s CPC partners and managers started out with an internship at our company.

What can you expect from us?

That can vary greatly. The only thing that is certain is that you will work with us on exciting projects that are as diverse as our clients. Right from the start, you will support our teams in client projects or internal initiatives. You will actively help solve tasks and problems with your skills. Or you will take on individual project tasks and be responsible for a small sub-project.

What do we expect from you?

Of course, we don’t expect you to come to us as a fully-fledged consultant. We are looking for people who are curious and quick to familiarize themselves with new topics, who are hands-on and show initiative, and for whom the new and unknown are a welcome challenge.

You have successfully completed your master’s degree and speak German and English fluently. You think entrepreneurially, are structured, and are a real team player. Whether through internships, self-employment, or professional experience, you have already gained some practical experience. Ideally, you have IT skills, are agile in your thinking, and have a good understanding of business. Above all, you enjoy change management and consulting. Selection process

A fair and meaningful selection process is important to us. That’s why we use a 5-step process.

After your documents have been reviewed and approved (1), you will receive a link to an independent, scientifically based personality test. Based on the results, we will conduct a virtual interview to find out whether you are a good fit for our culture and way of working (2). Then things get serious.

You will be presented with a case study from our everyday consulting work. It simulates our work and gives you a direct insight into how we work together (3).

If we think you’ve done well in the case study, we’ll want to get to know you better over coffee and take time to answer any questions you might have. This helps us get a personal impression of you, which is really important to us, in addition to the virtual one (4).

FAQs about applying and joining us

Abroad, we have permanent offices in China (Beijing), Turkey (Istanbul), and Austria (Vienna). In addition, we work on a project basis worldwide—wherever we can create real added value for our customers. Internships do not usually involve assignments abroad.

As long as you have a good understanding of business, a certain affinity for IT, and a strong willingness to learn, you’ve come to the right place. Typically, many of our consulting colleagues have a background in business administration, IT, mechanical engineering, or business psychology.

Even before your first day with us, your future manager will contact you with some initial information. During your first few days, you will meet your team and get to know your project environment. In addition to intensive training during your first few days and weeks, you can also expect a series of basic training courses from our professional development program. Several times a year, we also hold an introductory week, during which you and other new colleagues will receive intensive preparation for everyday consulting work at CPC.

You will have numerous opportunities to develop and grow. By working directly on projects, you can deepen your expertise and acquire new skills. We actively support our employees in their continuing education and offer an internal qualification program as well as external training opportunities. We place great value on individual support. You will be assigned an experienced colleague as a mentor who will support you in your professional development and help you achieve your goals.
