As a long-standing “hidden champion” of management consultancies for network infrastructures and “best management consultant” (brandeins), quattron is a multi-award-winning partner for complex challenges in the areas of rail transport, energy and telecommunications networks and offers a comprehensive range of services from strategy through implementation to operational and economic optimization of the use of technologies. The digitalization of rail transport as a contribution to the transport transition and the support of the construction of underground power cables for the transport of wind energy from northern to southern Germany as a contribution to the energy transition are, for example, current key topics at quattron.
With proven technical and methodological expertise based on many years of expertise with railways and infrastructure operators across all functions and technology areas, quattron develops individual problem solutions together with customers and also supports the implementation. The owner-managed company is structured according to the three business areas Technology & Operational Consulting, Software, IT & Digital Data Management and Project Management.
quattron was founded in 2002 as a spin-off from Arthur D. Little and now has around 200 employees at locations in Aachen, Bad Orb, Bamberg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Leipzig, and Zurich (CH). Quattron has created a very modern, cross-location environment for hybrid working and offers numerous benefits for its employees. At quattron, consultants can develop both professionally and personally in exciting projects in a family-like working atmosphere with flat hierarchies.
You can join quattron in various ways – depending on where you are in your professional life. We continuously offer exciting entry opportunities. Interested? Then see what suits you best.
As an intern or working student, many doors are open to you at quattron. We are always interested in integrating people with personality into our tasks and teams. Always with the aim of giving you a good insight and the opportunity to stay with us after you have finished your studies. Your employability with us is as varied as our three business areas “Technology & Operational Consulting”, “Software, IT & Digital Data Management” and “Project Management”. It will be difficult for you to find a fixed career path within your studies, as we also respond to customer requests at short notice. We try to take your main topics and wishes into account. Contents can be the following:
Technology & Operational Consulting: Integration in various projects depending on requirements and area of responsibility. Completion of assistance tasks. Assumption of small responsibilities
Software, IT & Digital Data Management: Involvement in initial projects in line with the training objective. Application of acquired knowledge in assigned tasks. Completion of assistance tasks
Project Management: Integration in small projects depending on requirements and area of responsibility. Completion of assistance tasks. Assumption of small responsibilities.
Whether you have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, you can start your career at quattron. What matters to us are the skills you learned during your studies and the technical expertise you can apply to our various areas of expertise. Your employability with us is as diverse as our three business areas: “Technology & Operational Consulting,” “Software, IT & Digital Data Management,” and “Project Management.”
Technology & Operational Consulting: After completing your master’s degree, you will take on independent project tasks assigned by us as a junior consultant and will be integrated into selected consulting teams. We will take into account the skills you acquired during your studies and your area of specialization. In your role as a junior consultant, you will specialize in a consulting topic and build up your general consulting skills.
Software, IT & Digital Data Management: After completing your studies (bachelor’s/master’s degree) or gaining comparable professional experience (if you have the necessary skills and programming languages, a completed apprenticeship is also very valuable to us), you can start with us as a junior software developer. You will take on project and development tasks assigned to you independently. You will also be integrated into work and project groups and play an active role. Over time, you will specialize in an IT topic and build up a wide range of development skills and expertise in the field of railways.
Project Management: After completing your studies (bachelor’s/master’s degree), you will immediately take on responsibility for sub-projects and/or smaller consulting projects. In some cases, you will already be responsible for the technical management of working students and/or interns. Due to the wide range of topics we cover, the areas of responsibility can vary greatly.
Depending on the business area and your individual development, you may receive your first promotion after a short period of time. In the “Technology & Operational Consulting” business area, for example, experience shows that promotion to consultant occurs after 18 to 24 months. This allows us to show you a clear path right from the start and offer you the opportunity to develop with us.
You are highly qualified, and we cannot and do not want to prescribe a standardized path for you. We should discuss this together.
For initial guidance, we recommend considering both entry-level positions for master’s graduates and experienced hires.
You are already an experienced employee/experienced manager and are very knowledgeable in your areas of expertise. Your skills and technical know-how are crucial to us. With your expertise, you should be able to take on important tasks and lead a team. Your role with us can be as varied as our three business areas: “Technology & Operational Consulting,” “Software, IT & Digital Data Management,” and “Project Management.”
Technology & Operational Consulting: You will take on projects as an expert and/or lead a (small) team. The focus here is on taking on specific project responsibilities. You will also act as a mentor for our junior consultants and/or consultants. Providing technical leadership for the team is no obstacle for you. Your tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on your qualifications and experience.
Software, IT & Digital Data Management: You have in-depth knowledge or are an expert in your field. Accordingly, you will take on responsibility for sub-projects or entire projects. This may also include taking on responsibility for development projects and/or products and providing technical leadership. You may also act as a mentor for junior and/or IT engineers. You will be involved in customer and market development and, if necessary, support key account management. Your tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on your qualifications.
Project Management: You have in-depth technical expertise and are able to take on sub-projects and/or consulting projects. Depending on your experience and qualifications, you will also take on the technical leadership of individual employees or an entire team. As an expert, you can also act as a mentor. Your tasks and responsibilities will depend on your qualifications and expertise.
Depending on the business area and individual qualifications, starting at quattron can vary greatly. Our requirements are always clearly described in the respective job description. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
For a successful application, you should submit complete and informative documents. Depending on the application platform, this may include a cover letter, a detailed CV in tabular form and copies of your relevant certificates.
