FAQs about applying and joining us

No. Of course, you face challenges every day with us, and you can only overcome them with a lot of dedication. But life is more than just work. And only those who have enough balance can give their all. That’s why we don’t work on weekends as a rule.

At SMP, we don’t just talk about equal opportunities, we offer them. Equal opportunities, equal tasks, equal career prospects, equal pay, equal working hours for everyone.

From the level of Project Manager upwards, you also have the option of working a 4-day week or using your sabbatical for family projects. Of course, anyone can take parental leave. And if you ever find yourself in a bind, we're there for you. We support you with a professional family service.

Absolutely. In fact, we expect that of you. From the very beginning, you will be given your own tasks for which you will be responsible. Whether you are an intern, a career starter or an experienced professional.

Yes, quite a few. As an intern, you will quickly learn what causes success or failure in companies. But you will also learn how to get the company back on track for success. This will sharpen your awareness of the relevance of personal skills and enable you to choose your main subjects at university even more effectively.

We value your individual performance and commitment. We encourage this through personal development. And, of course, this is also reflected in your salary.

After that, a whole lot can happen. Because an internship with us has two goals: As an intern, you should have the opportunity to try your hand at a project as a consultant. On site. At the client’s premises. As part of the consulting team and with real tasks. What will you know afterwards? Whether you like the profession, the industry and, of course, SMP. Secondly, we want to identify suitable consulting personalities as early as possible and retain them. If the internship goes well from both your and our point of view, we will be happy to stay in touch with you and include you in our alumni circle.

Absolutely. We take sustainability very seriously.

How can you tell? For example, by the creation and implementation of future-proof concepts for our clients. Or by the internal tracking and offsetting of our CO2 emissions. Or by our long-standing commitment to the protection of moors. But sustainability (ESG) is also becoming increasingly important for our stakeholders: one example of this is the establishment of our own task force with approaches and methods to classify this topic for management and set a sustainable course.
