Jonah began his career in the sports business, where he gained his first experience in project management relating to the design of sponsorship rights for major brands. With a growing interest in strategic topics, he changed fields and studied Strategic Management & Innovation at the University of Innsbruck, supplemented by a minor degree in Digital Science. He joined IMP while still a student and now works as a consultant, helping companies to successfully develop and implement new business models and strategies. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
‘Thanks to our multi-project approach, I am currently working on both types of projects in parallel: on the one hand, a strategy development project for a medium-sized company in the mechanical engineering sector. On the other hand, the establishment of a corporate start-up in the digital health sector.’

Sometimes the most exciting paths are not the straight ones. Where different directions intersect, new things emerge that make a real difference.
My career path has taken me from medicine to sports and on to strategy consulting. Today, I help companies develop strategies and new business models, and every day I see how openness and diversity are the foundation for good work.
At IMP, people from very different backgrounds, with different ways of thinking and different experiences, come together in teams and also in projects. For me, this is no coincidence, but rather the core of our success.
For me, three things are inextricably linked at IMP:
•Diversity creates strength,
•strategic thinking and entrepreneurial spirit make an impact.
•and an open, trusting culture makes all of this possible.
Where diversity becomes strength
At various stages of my career to date, I have noticed what team spirit, dynamism and passion can achieve, and that success is rarely an individual achievement: a wide variety of strengths come together, pull in the same direction, but bring their own unique approaches and perspectives.
That describes our Open Strategy Consulting-Ansatz bei IMP very good. We develop strategies through open dialogue on an equal footing. With our open approach, we deliberately bring together different perspectives in our projects: internal employees from different departments and hierarchies, supplemented by external experts from our expert community. We see our role as bringing this diversity together and translating it into concrete strategies or business models with methodological expertise.
This attitude shapes not only our projects, but also us as a team: we are a mix of young and experienced consultants with a wide variety of personalities, each with their own story and ideas. We learn from each other, try new things and develop together.
Between strategy and corporate start-up
Our work at IMP straddles two worlds:
On the one hand, we develop strategies for the orientation of an entire company, and on the other hand, we support the development of new, start-up-like business models in established companies.
Thanks to our multi-project approach, I am currently working on both types of projects in parallel: on the one hand, a strategy development project for a medium-sized company in the mechanical engineering sector. On the other hand, the establishment of a corporate start-up in the digital health sector. This mixture of strategic thinking and entrepreneurial action inspires me; it has already led me away from sport and towards my master's degree and continues to shape my work at IMP to this day.
Flat hierarchies and genuine opportunities to shape the future
What makes IMP special for me is the way we work together. Thanks to flat hierarchies, everyone is given the space to shape things themselves and try out new things. Every day, I experience how natural it is to take on responsibility and contribute my own ideas. At the moment, for example, I am supporting the development of a new executive exchange format that aims to give companies ideas on how to respond to growing competition from Asian rivals. In line with the open strategy, this is not just about analyses and presentations, but about genuine exchange: learning from each other, gaining new perspectives across industry boundaries and thinking in new ways together.
All these projects show me how much trust and creative freedom there is at IMP. And that's exactly what motivates me: the opportunity to actively shape things, take on responsibility and, at the same time, learn every day from experienced consultants, high-profile clients and challenging issues.
